I have been boxing on and off since I was 18 and since then it has been my passion. Anyone who has ever boxed whether it be for competition or a one hour cardio class knows how grueling of a work out it can be. For years I have tried to find a strength and conditioning program to enhance my performance. Initially, I thought simple calisthenics were what I needed until I learned about plyometric workouts.I took a month off boxing and started Tyrone's program thinking to myself that it would be a breeze. Well, let me tell you, that couldn't have been further from the truth. After my first workout I looked like I just got out of a swimming pool and was still breathing heavy. Again, just as I thought the workouts were getting more manageable they got harder. By the end of the 30 day program I was visibly more defined everywhere, especially in my shoulders and quads.
Once I went back to boxing I noticed a huge difference in my ability to jump rope, punch, move, and last more rounds in the ring. Tyrone's nick name, The Physical Terrorist, is perfect for him! His workouts are the hardest workouts I have done since wrestling my Junior year of High School! Additionally, the beauty of his program is that once you're done with the 30 days you can do his workouts with a weighted vest to get more of a workout. I'm about to be doing his program once again with the weighted vest. Wish me luck because I will DEFINITELY need it!
